for the record, i STILL do think that facebook makes you too connected .. and yes there is such a thing as being too connected .. well for me at least .. and i think im like 1 out of 10 ppl who doesnt believe in facebook .. and yet i have an account – yes i know – but the ppl in there are limited and most of the time id think twice about adding ppl in .. i dunno – just do not like being too open i guess

and dont get me started on twitter .. i think that is just pointless .. and unless youre a celebrity or my boyfriend – why the hell would i be even remotely interested in what ure doing  every single minute? .. pointless i tell ya .. ok im semi-kidding about the having to know my b/fs every move thing .. heh .. half kid .. plus i do not and am not following any celebrity on twitter .. well cept that one time during that lohan/ronson break-up thing .. heh .. that was some desperate shite (them .. not me .. eh) .. heh .. that was purely for the fun factor .. for a lil laugh

trent have somehow always been good in my books .. i like the anti-social, depressed and very dark image that he has (without being labelled as goth or death metal) .. musicwise tho – some i can accept and some to me is just white noise with machine beats .. i like the vocals tho .. he makes tortured soul sound sexy ..

anyway – nin is coming to singapore in august .. and i kinda have mixed feelings about this – i wanna go – cos i like a few songs and i wanna experience them live .. i have a feeling they will be different than all other bands ive seen – so thats nice .. on the other hand tho – i know jack shit about the new album – which theyll be promoting .. so that sucks .. AAAND more importantly – its at fort freaking canning park .. uugh .. i hate open aired, sweaty armpits and all sorts of nauseous smell kinda concert .. i mean after experiencing the police and coldplay at the indoor stadium – i feel like ALL concerts should be held there .. yes all .. i mean its air-conditioned, the acoustics is AMAZING – even the smallest f chimes can be heard in the stadium .. and the whole concert was distrubingly organized .. heh .. even the crowd was very well behaved .. heh .. ok actually i dont really mind open air – but its one of those free standing type of concert – u know where everyone gets dumped into one big moshpit .. yea so – and from experience – 80% of concert crowds in singapore are all non-singaporean ex-pats who are tall and huge .. so unless i claw my way to the front (which i will never do) or my whole nin concert experience will be hearing white noise while watching someones back .. not cool .. anyway ill sleep on it and decide later .. theres still time

ok so another thing that makes trent reznor so cool .. he did this april fool joke – posting on his website that hes releasing an album called ‘strobelight’ .. he even has a track listing – which is hilarious .. and even named a few guest artistes on it – which i assume he considers as sellouts – but chris martin and bonos in it which is weird cos coldplay and u2 are mainstream .. so .. nevermind .. anyway apparently this joke is sposed to be aimed at chris cornell who has an album out called “scream” and hes collaborating with timbaland .. heh .. theres just so much wrong in there that i just dunno where to begin – but ill sum it up with a quote from a comment by TK on pajiba ..  “I certainly won’t condemn anyone for liking Scream- each their own and whatnot. But as a hardcore Soundgarden fan, listening to it makes me want to slash my throat with my copy of Badmotorfinger” .. my sentiments exactly

so now that were talking bout sellouts .. saw a piece of non-cool trent news yesterday on perezhilton nonetheless ..hes apparently engaged to some singer – who used to pose for playboy .. and hes walking those red carpets shit … i mean .. heh .. whatever happened to the dark, sullen anti-social trent? .. ok having a g/f is fine – but not one of those types .. u know what i mean – shes in a non-famous band so shes dating trent to get famous .. yes those type .. plus i dont trust her face – heh .. and apparently nin fans arent too happy about this .. but i guess whatever – trent should prolly take back whatever jokes he had about chris cornell .. at least im not seeing him walking red carpets with less-than-2 weeks old g/f and announcing their engagement to the whole world .. heh seriously what the hell happend trent? .. april fools over – enough with the jokes …

jason mentioned malaysia in his blog .. he even put a pic of stadium negara there .. nice pic – he is rocking his fisheye of late – i noticed .. heh .. pretty soon i shall be rocking my sis fisheye too … heh .. just gotta get some films first .. anyway – yay for the stadium negara pic – now it shall be famous – so padan muka to all you mega malls developers who originally wanted to bring that building down .. shame on you .. im sorry did jason mraz put a pic of ‘the pavilion’ or ‘midvalley bloody megamall’ in his blog? .. I DONT THINK SO .. its like a dime a dozen and its the same everywhere .. so eff u guys .. down with the malls and demolishing of historical buildings!

on a semi-related note .. malaysia is so weird .. several years ago all these money faced developers were fighting their ass off to bring down stadium negara and stadium merdeka .. STADIUM MERDEKA can u believe it?? .. i mean come on .. and in exchange of what? .. another mall? .. another tesco? .. another hi-rise exclusive ridiculously priced condos? .. for fucks sake man .. have an identity will ya  .. sheesh .. it would suck for u if ud have to list out shitty malls as part of your countrys architectural history .. and these ppl (and by that i mean ppl in the ministry) dont think do they .. theyd go ‘ooh were rich in cultural heritage .. bla bla bla’ .. and your evidence to support that is ‘the biggest mall in ASIA’? .. ‘the tallest twin tower in ASIA’ .. eh .. im sorry – thats just stupid .. so anyway .. back to my point – so NOW – recently i guess .. victoria’s institution received that national heritage award thing – and its just a stones throw away from those two stadiums .. i mean – wtf? .. first u want to kill the most important building in history .. but next minute youre celebrating it and all the buildings around it .. i dont get that .. i mean dont get me wrong – it IS the right move (for once) .. it is just extremely weird thats all

ppl dont pay enough attention to restoration of historical buildings here .. and that is just sad .. i for one – think that stadium negara should be more well kept and more .. how should i put it .. ‘celebrated’ and ‘proud of’ than klcc .. i mean it has a history man .. u can build great buildings but u cant buy history .. so i know its nowhere near the grandeur of lets say the coliseum .. but still – it is of great historical importance to us .. and its just sad that its left in an unkept state .. and only used for concerts or footballs matches and stuff like that .. anyway – in short – money hungry- mega mall building – two face politician/whoever in the government who gets 10 million for approving to demolish historical buildings to make way for megamalls/condos should all go back to the ‘japanese occupation’ era and get tortured their balls off AND THEN they should be asked ‘so is a place where we declare INDEPENDENCE important?’

ok so time for some serious speculation .. of coldplay concert in malaysia .. heh

so its no secret that i dont have any faith at all with malaysian concert scene – when it comes to international artistes of course .. i mean why would i go otherwise .. heh

ok so what we have on one hand is this idiotic ‘sunburst kl’ so called music fest .. i dont know why but it is fast getting on my nerves .. first of all there is that ‘are they coming’ ‘are they not coming’ rumors bullcrap .. and then theres that stupid silent press conference crap at the pavillion where they announced lacklustre acts (additional gripe – what the FISH is “silent” press conference – NO SUCH THING in my book .. press conference is press conference .. if you want it to be silent – then shut the fish up .. NEXT – coldplay TBC – again this belongs in the ‘what the FISH??!’ category .. cos i dunno what mind games theyre trying to play here but its working – IM PISSED OFF .. and it doesnt help that this pineapple events have a bad rep – theyre the ones who wanted to bring tennis aces fedex and nadal but cancelled at the very last minute without any official notice in fact – not good .. not good at all ..

so weighing all that info that i have – i deduced that coldplay will be a no show in malaysia ..

BUT – TODAY i came upon some extremely exciting news – heh – coldplay is coming to Singapore .. as in a FULL ON CONCERT .. as in they will play more than 40 MINUTES .. as in NO SHITEOUS LOCAL ACTS (well maybe 1 opening act – but who listens to opening bands anyway) .. as in ALL THEIR GREAT SONGS WILL BE PLAYED

so i am once again a happy bunny .. heh .. and am now checking them flight tickets .. i dont care if its on monday – IM NOT GONNA MISS IT THIS TIME .. i have been carrying this BIG regret since 2006 when they came to singapore and for some weird reason i DID NOT go and made this shit mistake of reading the concert review in the star newspaper .. and by the time the writer said he had goosebumps when he heard the whole stadium sang to Fix You – i VOWED to myself – never EVER to miss a coldplay concert if i can help it ..

so tis time to keep to that vow  .. heh

so anyway – whatever happens in malaysia – i wouldnt even give a rats ass .. pineapple events can play all the games that they want and they do all kinds of gimmick or whatever crap it is that they want … i dont care – im off to singapore .. cos even if coldplay lands here – it will be like 40 mins only .. and the ticket price is more or less the same .. AND i dont like any other bands that theyre offering .. AND theres a good chance that this might get cancelled ..

BUT theres a very good chance that coldplay will be coming to malaysia tho – cos their last gig in NZ is on the 19th and the next gig is in Singapore on the 23rd .. sunburst is on the 21st .. so ..

i am damn ANXIOUS – seriously .. tickets for jason mraz’s concert in malaysia have YET to be on sale .. whereas tickets for OTHER places is already out there and is getting sold out by the minute .. tix for singapores concert which opened yesterday has only limited seats left TODAY .. so

i SERIOUSLY have NO FAITH whatsoever on malaysian sponsors n what not .. be it small companies or big companies .. reputable or not .. they have a reputation for cancelling even the most popular events and even with sold out tickets – like what happened to that fed-ex vs whoever tennis match .. bamm! cancelled at the very last minute .. by experienced sponsors even .. shameful i tell ya .. so of course now – i think theyre at it again – being so late in selling the tickets .. and of course the website for the organizer is under construction .. how great is that .. if that doesnt install faith back into malaysian organisers i dont know what will ..

so i am seriously going to get the singapore tickets – id rather have 2 tickets than NONE .. cos seriously i am NOT going to miss this

the cat is pondering about life and whats gonna happen next year .. more catnaps maybe?

few days into the new year and im already feeling shitty .. not really off to a good start id say .. whats the big deal about a new year anyway .. ive never been one to celebrate the new year – really dont know whats the big deal about new year .. and have no idea what were to celebrate – yes its a new year .. so? .. was feeling my usual normal self during the weekend but come monday i was slowly falling into that depressive mood .. i dunno to me its like – god id have to wake up at 7am for another year – work my shit work for another year – and go through the same old routine for another year .. so really i do not know how can ppl celebrate another year of work and routine? of course i should thank god that i have a job in the midst of this economic crisis .. of course im only looking at the downside of things and not the good stuff .. maybe i hafta enrol into something like that ‘yes man’ seminar and be all positive in life and say yes to everything .. altho i do find the idea of being all spontaneous and going to the airport and catching the next flight no matter where it goes to really appealing – but i cant really imagine doing that – not the spontaneiieieity part – its the money part (as usual) ..

ok stop being so depressed and be a little positive and hope for a good year – may i get oodles of money this year .. there ive said it – im being all positive .. and if i dont get oodles of money, be rest assured someone is going to get  slapped

so anyway – heres a good mood picker upper … jason mraz has somehow miraculously added ‘stadium negara’ in his tour list … i think he read my 987 comments in his blog asking him to drop by for a little show in malaysia – yea … think he did .. thats the only reasonable reason .. heh .. so

BUT – malaysia is so unreliable .. trust me – things are not confirmed until jason steps on the stage … first it will be ‘holy shit jason mraz is coming to malaysia!!’ .. then its ‘wow is it really on??’ .. next its ‘shoot its been cancelled – i think someone mentioned that he gets naked on stage and promotes satan – so its off now’ … ‘oh wow its on again – weirdly enough he promotes satan but tehyre letting him IN!’ .. ‘oh no its off again’ .. ‘oops no wait its ON again’ … bleh u get the pic .. this is a typical malaysian concert scene scenario .. so im already thinking about buying tix for his singapore show .. sure its more expensive – but at least its confirmed that im gonna get to see him

funny how theyve changed the format in latest favorite radio station BFM and features these morning interviews with business people or as they call it ‘the morning grill’ .. and what is even MORE funny is that I would listen to them .. like wholly .. heh .. wont even bother to change stations .. i dunno im not much of a talkshow person and i HATE it when DJs overtalk but with this show – i kinda like it .. i think maybe its the interesting ppl that they bring on and the no-nonsense DJ type of ppl who interviews them that makes it bearable and sometimes .. cool.

think they had a flower and gifts company (that ive never heard of) but seems to be doing very well it seems .. then there was the tony romas / manhattan fishmarket MD .. and then Ms Read/D’lish owner  .. whom i didnt know jack about but it was a very interesting listen .. and a few others which i cant remember – i think theres that odyssey bus owner at some point .. so anyway – my point – since when did radio interviews got interesting?.. im more open to it since podcast i guess .. this is like a surprise podcast of sort .. heh .. so anyway .. i kinda liked all the interviews that they did but when i heard that theyre going to interview the overly popular tony renandez of airasia fame, i was like – ok not like hes over exposed or anything – or not like ive never read/heard an interview of him before … so today for lack of any other options – i decided to listen to it anyway .. well its either i listen to that or listen to replays of tune-deaf pussycat dolls songs or IQ destroying prank calls done by obnoxious DJs .. to my surprise – i enjoyed the interview .. it was interesting and very informative .. also gave an insight on how much tony hates MAS hahaha .. well he didnt say it out but i kinda get the negative vibe … so first of all id say kudos to BFM for getting it right – i think for some weird reason they managed to find a niche market and as tony said – theyre focused on it .. they did right on a few things in fact – they knew their targeted audience are business ppl – so i guess that makes it a 25 to 50 age group .. so first – these ppl wouldnt be caught DEAD listening to the craptastic artists offered nowadays (ok i know maybe there are a few goods ones but everytime someone mentions ‘todays artists’ somehow pussycat dolls comes to mind), they play 80s songs – most of us in that age group group could relate to that and i LOVE reminiscing the good ol days, they play good ol rock – this i havent really figured out why – a lot of 90s pearl jam fans are businessman nowadays?.. dunno .. maybe .. then second – they put those interview/grilling sessions from 8 to 9am – a time when all of us would be in our cars going to work .. PLUS its a nice change when everyone else was doing dumb stuff and playing those overplayed pop songs .. and third – no nonsense DJ – and by no-nonsense im not saying they got a serious DJ – its just that this DJ is NOT overdoing it and just plain non-obnoxious – and of course has a pleasant voice..  so all and all that conributes to an enjoyable experience .. so good job to BFM and hopefully they stay that way .. interesting interviews and great songs - good combo

so now back to tony airasia – few things i found out about him thru that interview -

1. speaks with a british/american slang (i still can figure that out) 

2. he has a blog (yea i kno.. unbelievable) 

3. wears airasia cap ALL the time .. especially when travelling using othe airlines (judging by a photo from his blog) 

4. kinda hates MAS (heh) 

questions were interesting .. his answers were of course interesting .. could sense his frustration with MAS (which I find interesting .. heh .. but he has a point) ..  so all in all i found this interview very refreshing and its a surprise cos its not like i havent read anything about him before .. so of course one of the questions were the feedbacks from airasia passengers – heh .. and i really like the way tony answered it .. just straight and to the point .. u paid for budget airlines so you GET budget airlines .. and honestly by the complaints that these ppl make – if i were tony id have told them ‘oh fuck off and stop complaining – you couldnt even AFFORD to go to BALI before airasia .. now u get a chance and ure complaining?’ .. MAS on the other hand .. heh ..

id hafta say that i think ive used MAS as many times as ive used airasia .. i dont have any complaints for airasia so far .. i know what i paid for and im not trying to get gold when i paid for i dunno nickel .. or whatever .. i dont mind the delays (which airline doesnt have delays?) .. i dont mind the non-designated seats – i like sitting at the back anyway .. and what is this fucking mentality that malaysians have that they always have to sit in front? of anything for that matter – busses , trains .. u name it .. they have this ridiculous mentality that u always HAVE to sit in front .. EVEN .. EVEN when there are multiple doors that u can use .. so it makes no difference right? back or front? .. i just dont fucking get it .. i dont mind queuing to get to the plane – and when i DO i just dont queue and sit and wait .. no problem … ppl are complaining about all sorts of things and yet they forget that they are paying very little .. for me – i get to go to bali – thats all i have to say

MAS like i said on the other hand – i think i have 1 post complaining about them (at least) … thing is – if they were budget airlines, i prolly wouldnt care .. but theyre NOT, theyre a premium airline and yet they gave you SHIT service .. ive had a few bad experiences with MAS .. and theyre really horrible .. i wonder if they have rectified that complaint i have on their customer service line – wonder if they have actually stationed someone there .. or maybe that was part of their cost cutting practice – no customer care .. glad to report that after all the ruckus i have created – they refunded my money on the next week itself … after of course 4 months of claiming .. so thats premium airline for you .. but damage is done – i dont think i can talk to any of MAS staff now without being snappy after only 30 seconds .. im losing my patience with them .. malaysian hospitality my ass .. well unless of course THAT is malaysian hospitality …

so anyway .. no point beating a dead horse .. hopefully they figure it out – its taking too long tho .. poop

is it weird that im more curious as to why theyre releasing it now than what the album actually sounds like?

ok i KNOW this wont be ANYTHING like apetite cos slash is not in the band and axl could just come up with all kindsa weird shit when left alone – exhibit a would be ‘my world’ from Use your Illusion .. i can never ever get that track .. dunno what its for , dunno whos it for and dunno whod wanna listen to it .. so for now im just hoping that all 12 or 14 tracks in chinese wouldnt sound anything like it … wishful thinking i KNOW – but u know – who knows … and that rumour about buckethead had to have a chicken coup in the studios while recording this album (which means theyd have a chicken coup in the studio for 10 years .. heh .. amazing) is just too ridiculous … and id listen to this album just for that alone ..

once again im having this idiotic throbbing headache which kinda puts me in a bad mood .. of course it would all stem from work problems .. god i feel like im on a fast track to be like my mom and aunts who just basically love to yell at ppl .. i mean i didnt realise that my threshold of yelling has somehow moved up to another level until well a few projects ago when i started yelling like a madman to all my suppliers .. granted that they did something wrong – still i think at this rate ill reach my moms level of being hyper and yelling at ppl at the tender age of 35 .. heh .. wouldnt want that to happen .. im SO not on the track to be a more peaceful and better person .. heh .. in fact it looks like im going full speed in the opposite direction ..

maybe it would help if i dont get so much problems from other ppl .. but sometimes i think that if i didnt make such a hassle about things, i wouldnt get it as fast as i could .. and i wouldnt get the splendid service that theyd give me right after all that screaming .. blah i dunno .. hopefully my blood pressure is not high .. and this splitting headache is just a migraine – which is no better but dunno lesser evil thingy shit ..

i think i need to practice those tai-chi thingy … get my chi right .. i can feel my chi is all wrong and its not flowing smoothly .. i see bad things happened to me twice in a row in my projects .. like a damn deja-vooo .. so not on .. or maybe i shoud do some yoga – meditation to eleviate the mind or something to that effect .. anyway – have to find a day where i could go and watch one of the films showing during the european film festival .. i wish theyd make a bigger deal about the film festivals .. i mean it would be fun .. and it would be more up-to-date – but whatever .. i live in malaysia – so no such thing would happen

saw ‘Boy A’ the movie – which i think is a canadien movie .. which i also think is very nice .. bloody sad ending tho .. totally didnt see it coming – well i think i did but was in a denial cos the boy was cute .. which brings me to the next point – was it on purpose that they picked a goodlooking boy to be the bad guy? .. so that u have this guilty feeling for feeling sorry for him? .. halfway in the movie i was totally rooting for the boy u know like ‘give him a chance’ bla bla bla .. but then again after i thot about it he DID kill a girl .. but he was soo young back then?!!? .. yea my mind was having an argument about the boys innocence .. which is pointless – i know .. anyway – eh 8.5/10 for that movie

ok this irritating malay drama is on tv and the mom is telling the daughter to not think about others and just do whatever she feels like .. quality shit – how can i miss this

anyway – last words – theres a cool new radio station which plays rock – 70s rock .. 80s rock .. pearl jam .. u name it .. and i LOVE it .. sucks that its business fm and id hafta hear depressing economic news and falling stock markets in between .. ah well – u cnat always get what you want
