the cat is pondering about life and whats gonna happen next year .. more catnaps maybe?

few days into the new year and im already feeling shitty .. not really off to a good start id say .. whats the big deal about a new year anyway .. ive never been one to celebrate the new year – really dont know whats the big deal about new year .. and have no idea what were to celebrate – yes its a new year .. so? .. was feeling my usual normal self during the weekend but come monday i was slowly falling into that depressive mood .. i dunno to me its like – god id have to wake up at 7am for another year – work my shit work for another year – and go through the same old routine for another year .. so really i do not know how can ppl celebrate another year of work and routine? of course i should thank god that i have a job in the midst of this economic crisis .. of course im only looking at the downside of things and not the good stuff .. maybe i hafta enrol into something like that ‘yes man’ seminar and be all positive in life and say yes to everything .. altho i do find the idea of being all spontaneous and going to the airport and catching the next flight no matter where it goes to really appealing – but i cant really imagine doing that – not the spontaneiieieity part – its the money part (as usual) ..

ok stop being so depressed and be a little positive and hope for a good year – may i get oodles of money this year .. there ive said it – im being all positive .. and if i dont get oodles of money, be rest assured someone is going to get  slapped

so anyway – heres a good mood picker upper … jason mraz has somehow miraculously added ‘stadium negara’ in his tour list … i think he read my 987 comments in his blog asking him to drop by for a little show in malaysia – yea … think he did .. thats the only reasonable reason .. heh .. so

BUT – malaysia is so unreliable .. trust me – things are not confirmed until jason steps on the stage … first it will be ‘holy shit jason mraz is coming to malaysia!!’ .. then its ‘wow is it really on??’ .. next its ‘shoot its been cancelled – i think someone mentioned that he gets naked on stage and promotes satan – so its off now’ … ‘oh wow its on again – weirdly enough he promotes satan but tehyre letting him IN!’ .. ‘oh no its off again’ .. ‘oops no wait its ON again’ … bleh u get the pic .. this is a typical malaysian concert scene scenario .. so im already thinking about buying tix for his singapore show .. sure its more expensive – but at least its confirmed that im gonna get to see him

read this in the papers today – soup kitchens for pets of the homeless in germany .. googled it up and apparently usa and also canada have it .. guess i just didnt know about it .. reading stuff like these makes me feel all happy n stuff .. of course i didnt know it was a problem but when i was in the us i noticed that there were a lot of homeless ppl with pets .. and i somehow feel bad for the pets and not the owners .. i dunno why .. ok now im going to get all emo and say that its great that there are soup kitchens for pets cos as much as i hate the fact that all the homeless ppl dragged their dogs or pets into their um homelessness state (yes i know its not by choice) BUT i guess u know ppl really underestimated this bond that the human and animals have .. i think i saw a show on discovery channel about therapy dogs - dogs who are volunteered by their owners to visit really sick kids in the hospital or ppl in old folks home to cheer them up .. OMIGOD think i cried from start to finish .. so i think its good that the homeless ppl have dogs / pets as their companion and its great that they have this soup kitchen for pets n stuff ..   ok im gonna stop right here before i start bawling  – i seriously cannot watch a movie about how loyal dogs are to their masters without emptying a full box of kleenex

saw this movie for the second time and FINALLY fully understood it after ready all the bloody imdb notes .. never have i seen a movie where they left so many things unexplained and so many important things out .. i mean goddamn .. at least leave a clue or two for us to TRY and decipher shit .. shit .. well i think the director DID leave a few clues here and there – its just that i wasnt fully concentrating i guess and my mind decided to take a vacation and therefore i didnt get what was happening .. plus – its donnie darko – my first instinct was – how bloody complex can this be

so since this movie was released in 2001, its safe to say that we can discuss it without worrying bout all that spoiler shit yes? .. anyway for any of u whos too lazy to go browse in imdb .. donnie is actually stuck in a time loop where he has to save the world he has a few times (which we didnt see in the movie – but it is where he wakes up laughing – or my guess – whenever he goes sleepwalking) failed to do .. so in the end he managed to save the world .. theres the whole time travel and parallel universe shit that u would prolly need to know and you can read in imdb .. but it really doesnt matter .. well it actually does but basically he time travelled to bring that jet engine back and to close the time loop .. if u pay attention there were parts in the movie where he would have a sense of deja vu n stuff like that .. and most obvious one would be when bunny rabbit guy said to him ‘u should know’, when donnie asked ‘when will all this end?’ .. so it goes like that

frankly i dont think im making any sense in explaining this movie – so fuck it – go read all the explanation in imdb…

anyway i like this movie .. one of the more memorable ones .. i started to notice jake gyllenhaal from there and then he had to make stupid movies like bubbleboy and the day after tomorrow .. so i figured he wasnt worth it after that .. but after that he did jarhead and zodiac – so i guess he has thus far redeemed himself .. he IS a good actor .. one of the few i would look out for .. which would then be funny when i say that i havent seen brokeback mountain .. heh .. somehow never got around to it .. something about cowboys being all gay n shit .. just doesnt interest me that much

so anyway (again) .. the songs in this movie are bloody catchy .. and NO its NOT because i bloody grew up in the 80s (well maybe partly it is) .. the songs in here are just catchy and very suitable with whatever thats going on in the movie .. from bands like tears for fears to echo and the bunnymen .. its all cool

good acting all around .. esp jake .. im sorry but i just saw the dark knight – and u all wouldve heard that heath ledger totally nailed the joker character .. so bloody hell .. i am now forced to use his potrayal of the joker as a point of reference when i comment on ppls acting chops .. so SHIT – ive seen lots of movies and everyone else pales in comparison .. so what the hell am i sposed to say now? .. heh .. i dont know whether im able to say ‘great acting’ anymore ever – except for the dark knight film .. and that sucks .. well unless of course chris nolan makes another epic movie .. still – thatll be in another 3 years?

anyway i am now entering into the dark knight zone in what is sposed to be the donnie darko zone ..

anyway – this is a cool movie .. one of its kind .. 8.5/10 .. good story, good cast, good soundtrack .. hopefully theres a sequel .. with jake in it .. and with chris nolan directing it .. hahaha hehe he ho ha he

Cats Appreciation Week

i think last weekend was cat’s appreciation day … cos some of the vets are having sale and there was an international cat competition going on … so anyway .. since i appreciate cats A LOT … i will post some articles regarding cats … heh .. no i will not post up my cats pics .. dont worry .. lets have something interesting and cute to read instead .. oh and a pic … well maybe 2 or 3 … or 10 … heh … and a video

found this cute article about “catkins” … its Atkins diet but for cats … hence catkins … heh .. so cute … anyway read it – its very informative … i didnt know cats can have diabetes .. mom was rite after all – we should stop giving my cats ice cream … but even if they have it – i dont think theyd go on a diet .. especially prinso – its a bit worrying .. cos hes a lil bit overweight .. just a bit .. not like the cats that i have here

my fren jiji is about to give her cat away .. about meaning if she finds someone to take care of it .. so .. poor Kechik … shes a cute lil kitty – anyway jijis giving the cat up cos shes preggers and apparently u cant have cats around when ure preggers … ok i hahve so many issues with that but ill save that for later … and jiji can be a lil over… … well just over … heh .. so hopefully Kechik finds a good home
